Did you know that the UW Bothell Writing and Communication Center is currently hiring Peer Consultants? If you are a current UWB student, would like to learn more about writing and tutoring students; and plan to be here next year, this might be the job for you!
When asked what they enjoy about working at the Writing and Communication Center, Peer Consultants said:
“We get to work with tons of great writers.”-Jeff
“We become better writers by helping others improve their writing skills. I love to meet new people and learn about different topics every day. The culture in the WaCC is fun, creative, diverse, and friendly.”-Erin
“I get to come to work and spend time with others who also enjoy writing as much as I do. It’s one of the most positive and creative places to work. Everyone collaborates and encourages each other to become better at what we do so we can give the best support to the students at UWB.”-Olga
“Helping my peers also helps me become a stronger, more confident writer. The people who work here are good listeners and value a collaborative approach.” –Jasleena
”I have an opportunity to channel my bottled up, nonsensical humor into all sorts of professional projects and activities. What job lets you do that? I get to use my creativity in my everyday activities. What’s not to love?”-Danielle
